Dann Berg keeps a note per physical object he owns, model numbers, dimensions, purchase date, maintenance history. Not an inventory of everything: only objects whose specs you’ll someday need again (the TV’s size when buying a soundbar, when the water filter was last changed).

The part I like: the system wasn’t designed, it grew, it started as research notes for buying a TV and became a template when the pattern repeated. He only creates the note after buying; research notes live elsewhere. Templates: object note and MOC.
