Turns out there’s a way of hunting pigeons called “con cimbel”; apparently it’s about making pigeons think there are fellow pigeons down there and come closer to lend a wing, and it’s done with decoys or with other pigeons made up to look like wood pigeons (seriously).

The video where they fit the harness (which is the light method; tying them by the leg is worse) on the poor pigeon is the closest thing to non-consensual BDSM I’ve seen in my life. I’ll just leave it here:
