Turns out Bill Nye has a science and problem-solving course on Masterclass that I was checking out, and at the end there’s a bonus about knots. He says knots are little chunks of ancestral ingenuity and wisdom and I think he’s right.
Well, he goes and teaches the square hitch, the one used for sneakers, and says lots of people do it wrong and get a granny hitch instead, and that’s why their laces come undone, and they have to tie the loops too, and end up with that lump of a lace-ball.
There the guy already has my attention.
I leave you a shoe-tying tutorial video in case you also don’t know that you don’t know how to tie your laces, like I didn’t know yesterday. Let’s see if tomorrow we all know that we do know, instead of just believing we know.

He also tells that a guy asked another to help him tie his tie, and the other told him to lie down on the bed. He helps him, and then the first one asks why he had to lie down, and the guy says he works at a funeral home and only knows how to do it that way XDDDDD Nah, that one just made me laugh.
