When they taught me the Fourier transform it gave me sore muscles in the neurons, but it led me to one of those “aha” momentazos that happen when you learn something cool.
Then you reflect on how sharp the guy must have been to come up with something like that, and HOW BEAUTIFUL THE GUTS OF TECHNOLOGY ARE.
In this 20-minute video, intense like Mad Max, they explain it with little drawings that make it beastly intuitive. What a treat.
Besides, it’s one of those many cases where pi walks hand in hand with 2, as P. says, and it’s fun to see them so close together again :)
