Turns out the crease in trousers was originally made to pack them into containers and ship them far away, which is why it’s called the “traveler crease”.
Now that we have better fabrics and we know how to ship trousers to the other end of the world without needing to crease them for folding, it turns out we keep making the crease because of that old “it’s always been done this way”.
Damn it, considering how much work it is to iron.
