US eggs would be forbidden here, and our eggs would be forbidden in the US.
Seriously.
In the US eggs are mostly white, it’s mandatory to sell them refrigerated and it’s forbidden to sell them unwashed.
In the EU eggs are mostly brown because traditionally there was this idea that brown hens were bigger and the white ones were the ones stuck in nasty cages. My mother E. told me some are even painted brown because here we prefer them that way. Also: they’re sold at room temperature and it’s forbidden to wash them before selling; washing is even discouraged unless done right before eating, because washing removes a protective layer.
Here it’s mandatory to charge for bags at the supermarket, while in the US some states have laws forbidding the forbidding of bags at the supermarket (freedom-to-consume vibes and all that).
The world is a very curious place.
