Catalan writer, born in Barcelona in 1978 and based in the Penedès. A poet first, with a long run of poetry collections, before she turned to the novel.
Her novels Permagel (2018), Boulder (2020) and Mamut (2021) form the Tríptic, which made her known far beyond Catalonia: Boulder made the International Booker Prize shortlist in 2023, the first time a book written in Catalan got there, and her work has been translated into more than twenty languages.
On my to-read list, with a reputation for being “molt bèstia”.
