“Inkhosikati LaMahlangu: born in 1984 as Zena Soraya Mahlangu. On October 9, 2002, at age 18, she disappeared from the school where she studied. Her mother, Lindiwe Dlamini, said her daughter had been abducted by two men, Qethuka Sgombeni Dlamini and Tulujani Sikhondze, and reported it to the police. She was told her daughter was at the Ludzidzini Royal Palace, assigned to Royal service. She demanded her daughter back and the case reached the courts, but the Attorney General, Phesheya Dlamini, intervened and announced that Mahlangu had been betrothed to King Mswati in November, and that she was at the Royal Palace. There has been no contact between mother and daughter since. She officially became his bride in a traditional marriage ceremony held in May 2004.”
