Original in Spanish: Ron Jones

In 1986 a young guy called Ron Jones had just lost his job, I think because of the Challenger accident.

With time on his hands, he drew his idea of how development would unfold until humanity goes to space. It’s called the Rockwell Integrated Space Plan.

I love futures design and that drawing is still a marvel. It’s art.

I don’t know what became of the guy since. If he turns out to be the same Ron Jones who wrote some Dr Who episodes, I’ll lose it. I suppose not…

Edit: Wooo, I found him. He has made a new version of the plan. We finally see his face: https://integratedspaceanalytics.com/

The guy says he never imagined there would one day be people so disgustingly rich they would take parts of the plan for themselves instead of it being a public endeavour. It surprises me zero that even he got caught wrong-footed by that…

Here a remake that reads quite well: https://makezine.com/article/craft/the-rockwell-international-integrated-space-plan/
