Do you have a commonplace book?

I realize I still have my notes on everything since university, but also that it’s scattered all over the place.

I’ve always had a notebook I carry everywhere with the immediate stuff; lately I have one for work and one for personal things, because I’m sick of work sneaking even into my kitchen. What I’ll want long-term is all digital. Archive things that I want to show up in my Google searches but that I didn’t write are in Evernote, unsorted; files (personal or not) in Dropbox; for a while now digital notes go straight into Drive.

In analog I have the carry-everywhere notebook (for work and for mòni-person), the thinking-hard-once-in-a-while one, and the one to keep nearby when I read on the kindle.

Then in Dropbox I have a folder with photos of the interesting pages of the carry-everywhere notebook, taken before throwing it away once it’s finished. It’s not useful, but it gives me morriña to look at them from time to time.

How do you all do it?
