A “circus in a box”: the name comes from the Sanskrit koza, a chest or treasure. Kooza (officially KOOZA, or Koozå) is Cirque du Soleil going back to its roots, classic acrobatics plus slapstick, created and directed by the clown David Shiner and premiered in Montreal in 2007.

Two clowns hold it together: the Innocent, in badly fitting horizontal stripes, and the Trickster, impeccable in vertical ones. Stripes as character design. And then the Wheel of Death, which does what it says on the tin.
