The Doctor’s wife. Whom he meets, for the first time, on the day she dies.
Played by Alex Kingston and created by Steven Moffat. An archaeologist and time traveller whose real name is Melody Pond: the daughter of two of The Doctor’s companions, conceived in the TARDIS, partly a Time Lord, raised by his enemies to kill him, and in love with him instead. She keeps a blue diary to track their meetings, which happen out of order, and when he asks about things that haven’t happened to him yet, she says: “Spoilers”.
Her whole story, and why it hurts: A love story told backwards. Part of Doctor Who.
